The Chaozhou teapot adopted chaozhou local clay which we called Chaozhou red clay.
Clay characteristics:
1. Chaozhou Zhuni clay has fine and flexible texture and high plasticity.
2. Fired into a pot with firm texture, smooth surface and low air permeability. Compared with Zisha clay, it can retain the original taste and aroma of tea.
3. It is the “semi-porcelain”clay keeps high temperature without losing tea aroma, making it a veritable weapon for brewing Oolong/Dancong tea.
 
Personal opinion: Use it to brew Phoenix Dancong, Rock tea, Tieguanyin, Taiwan Oolong tea,stimulate tea fragrance better compared with Zisha teapot.
