Nice Gaiwan. I’m not sure it is actually handmade as stated in the description (honestly, I don’t think the forming process is entirely done by hand on the wheel). The lid seals perfectly, with surgical precision. The glaze is very similar to the one in the photos (of course, it can’t be exactly the same). One downside, not mentioned in the description and not visible in the pictures, is that the inside of the lid is unglazed. This makes it not ideal for smelling the volatile aromas.
