About Jianzhan (Tenmoku)
Jianzhan is a traditional Chinese ceramic ware that dates back to the Song Dynasty (960–1279). Originating in Jianyang, Fujian Province, China, Jian ware is known for its iron-rich clay and distinctive glaze effects.
Jianzhan bowls were traditionally used for tea drinking and are also appreciated today for preparing matcha and collecting. Known as Jianzhan in China and often associated with Tenmoku in Japan, these tea bowls reflect the long history of East Asian tea culture.

1.When you receive your Jianzhan,please boil it in boiling water for a few minutes. It has the functions of disinfection and warming.
2.When pour tea in cup,since tea temperature is too high to taste,it is better to shake the tea soup first to make it soak into whole cup,in this way,not only can help Jianzhan grow a uniform color, but also can appreciate the magical changes of markings .
3. After finish your tea,blanch it with boiling water,clean it properly. Place in a ventilated and easy-to-dry place or wipe clean with a soft tea cloth,never use fine sand cloth, sandpaper, polishing cloth which will damage Jianzhan surface and make it loose luster and scratches.

The ore is from Jianyang city,which is the original place of Jianzhan ware. It is rich in iron ions, which is special to compare with other place and best to make Jianzhan. The glaze is natural as well.
